Weekly Update
We had a busy week listing the first resale in years at Hawthorne Squarea historic oasis in Fremont and listing an updated craftsman in Madrona. We were also busy with buyers, helping a client win this incredible mid-century modern in Magnolia (yes, there was a bidding war at 30 days on market!) and helping another client buy at the Emerald (3 of our clients have bought basically the same floor plan on the NW corner!).
In real estate news the median price for single-family homes continued to recover, but is still below last year’s highs. Condo prices are up as well, though not nearly as much and they’re a much tougher sell right now as compared to single-family homes. Bouying buyers, are interest rates nearing a two year low. In new construction news, Spire is 25% sold and now offering a $25k design credit, Wallingford 45 is 20% pending and a brand new co-op building hit the market in Mount Baker.
Lots of great new listings this week – our favorites are the ones that went through incredible transformations – a carriage house re-purposed by George Suyama, a Lake Washington waterfront transformation and a Broadview mid-century that has been thoroughly modernized. Want to do a transformation? Here’s $15m for some land on Mercer Island or a floating home on Westlake. Other great homes – a 2010 George Suyama in Medina that is one bedroom for $3.5m, a custom built modern on Phinney Ridge, a Mercer Island mid-century, a huge Belltown loft, and a loft on 19th Ave.
No Juneary this year? Enjoy the heat this week!
