Weekly Wrap-up

As predicted, it is quiet on the real estate front; less than 30 new listings this past week. This coming week should be very quiet too.
As the year comes to the close here’s a look back at the most expensive home sales, the highest was $37.5m! And here’s a look at the most expensive condo sales with #1 coming in at $12m. We also took a look at your favorite homes of 2019 (I was surprised which ones didn’t make the list!), while here are my faves (what’d I miss?).
Heads up if you’re planning to build, or do a crazy remodel like we are, the permitting process is a mess right now as reported by the Seattle Times, as affordable housing shrinks in Seattle, permitting delays keep apartment projects in limbo for months. In our case, we hired an architect in October and aren’t expecting to have permits in hand until the end of summer.
