I hope everyone had a great holiday break. Listing agents took a break this last week as we saw only 70 or so new listings, and many of those are re-listed homes whose listing agreements expired at the end of the year or new construction from developers who waited for beginning of the year. We expect a reasonable number of new listings to start hitting the market next week, but it won’t be until March that buyers really start to see some good selection. Which is why we counsel selling your home early in the year, less competition! And why we counsel our buyers to be patient.
