Weekly wrap-up
As expected, it was a relatively busy week with nearly 225 new listings still active. Though next week will be quiet as most sellers won’t list over the President’s Day long weekend. But once everyone is back, get ready, as the real estate season really begins.
Of those 225 new listings, our favorites are a lofty condo at the Block in SLU,a remodeled midcentury on Mercer Island and a PNW-style midcentury in Seward Park.
The Seattle Times took a look at the numbers for January and are reporting Tight housing inventories and January price jumps hint at a sellers’ spring. We totally agree as we experienced many bidding wars this week and saw homes listed in January selling for way over list (like this Alki home listed for $668k that sold for $850k and closed in 7 days!)
As Amazon plans for 15,000 employees in Bellevue, Canadian developer Bosa is working on another condo in Bellevue (Bosa built Insignia and One88.)
