Weekly wrap-up
It was a remarkably busy mid-winter break week with 245 new listings in Seattle and 10% of those already pending (here’s what’s left). We saw several homes go pending before their offer review deadlines and stiff competition on homes without deadlines. This is a good reminder to buyers that you need to move quickly and aggressively if you love a home. Why is it so crazy right now? There are very few homes for sale, lots of impatient buyers and rates are low. Plus Amazon has 11,500 job openings in Seattle.
Of those homes that hit the market, the ones that caught our eye are a loft at Trace (expecting multiple offers), an affordable untouched mid-century in south Seattle, and a mid-century on Mercer Island that would be a shame to tear down. Or how about a Beacon Hill tiny home or one in Fremont?
This past week we helped a buyer purchase at Mira Flats just before they raised the price on it and we listed the first resale at Nexus, Seattle’s latest high-rise condo. Here’s a look at their amenities.
P.S. here’s a look at the Paris metro overlaid on Seattle (so sad)
