Weekly wrap-up: buyers back at it in a big way

Just a modest 4% increase in new listings last week as listing agents likely advised sellers to wait until after the long weekend to list. However buyers were busy putting 234 homes under contract, a 44% increase from the week before and well above what we normally see this time of year. So sellers – get on the market sooner rather than later. Buyers – be patient, more listings to come, don’t get caught up in January madness unless you need to.

By far the coolest listing last week was a studs-out remodel in Madison Park by by Ainslie-Davis and Shed Architecture. Wow! We also liked this Fix Madore loft, but alas it is pending.

We’re off to a busy start to a short week writing several offers and listing a great loft at Trace.
