Weekly wrap-up: snowmageddon! (and 43 offers!)

Hope you all had fun in the snow! But more importantly, is your home holding up okay!? We get snow so rarely in Seattle that it can often cause roofs and basements to leak, pipes to freeze, or the weight of snow can pull your gutters off…

Not surprisingly due to both snow and a long week, new listings and buyers going under contract both took big dips last week. This week is mid-winter break for Seattle schools so it might not be until next week that we see a lot of new single-family home listings.
All that caught our eye last week was lofts! Two Pioneer Square lofts – a large one at the Lofts and one half the size at Our Home Hotel, a top-floor loft at Trace and this Talisman loft was re-listed today.
As for crazy stories – that Mercer Island Ralph Anderson went 22% over, the Arboretum remodel sold for 25% over asking but not to be outdone, this Kirkland home went 35% over with 43 offers after 4 days on market!
