Weekly Wrap
The big news last week was that a waterfront estate set a record selling for $37.5m on the Eastside (I toured it recently, it was nice, but $37.5m is a lot of money…). In more practical real estate news, Gridiron has cut prices, Emerald has released more units at very reasonable prices which has already led to more sales, 403 Thirteenth on Capitol Hill started selling, Spire unveiled some penthouses (and they’re happy to combine them if you want to supersize), and finally Avenue Bellevue is 23% reserved which is incredible given prices start at $1.3m.
The number of new listings we see each week is continuing to out pace previous years, and we are seeing some good listings, but our clients certainly wish they were seeing better listings. (We do have two more months of heavy new listing activity ahead of us though.)
Anyhow, here is what caught our eye. A $3m updated mid-century on the Eastside, a transformed NW contemporary in Bridle Trails, a Gordon Walker designed contemporary on beach drive, a two-story view loft in Eastlake, a NW contemporary in Bryant, a loft in Monique for only $450k, and this newer home in Bryant that went pending in a day!
