Weekly Wrapup
New listings were up almost 10% this past week and we saw many with a variety of clients. We wrote two offers this week. One on an off-market home that unfortunately didn’t work out and the other on a home that had been sitting for a few months, 4946 Beacon Ave S. We were fortunate to get the home below list price, but it did take us all week to negotiate!
As evidence of how crazy this market is, we were driving to an open house for a $5m listing and it went pending on the drive over, and this $2.2m home in Wallingford went pending in two days. We also had someone tell us about a Capitol Hill townhouse that escalated to a crazy number.
This past week, real estate numbers for February came out, and One88 announced they sold over 100 units even though prices started in the $800s.
