Weekly wrapup
The real estate news the last couple weeks is that new listings continue to lag behind last year, while the number of buyers going under contract is the same or more. With real estate almost back to normal (with the exception of open houses), I’m surprised that we’re not seeing more new listings.
Interested in a deep dive on the market? We’re doing a Zoom webinar Wednesday at noon that will look at the numbers for May, the latest weekly numbers and I’ll answer any questions you have about what is going on.
We were busy last week listing a custom-designed modern home on Queen Anne and an end-of-dock houseboat in Eastlake. We also helped a buyer find what will be a beautiful new construction home in Wallingford before it hit the market. And today we have a buyer closing on a great spot in Eastlake and a seller closing on her North Seattle charmer.
Aside from our new listings, our favorite new listing last week was a NW contemporary built by Dean Homes in 2015, now for sale for $7.78m. Wow! Followed by a fully updated mid-century modern on Mercer Island for $1.45m.
Need to get out of the city? How about a log cabin at the Pass? Or we stumbled upon this stunning waterfront 70s NW contemporary in Lemolo.
