Eleven Eleven East Pike / 1111 East Pike
I’m in the back seat of my friend’s car as we return to Seattle from a heli-skiing vacation at Panorama, BC. I’m checking email and I am pleasantly surprised to find an invite to a primarily real estate agent event Thursday night to find out more about 1111 East Pike. Good work Parsons PR for reaching out to non-real estate agent bloggers.
Eleven Eleven East Pike is the first condominium building designed by Tom Kundig, the internationally-celebrated architect and principal at Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects. As you know, a home designed by Tom Kundig would normally have a hefty price tag, but the 27 homes at Eleven Eleven East Pike offer rare opportunities for high design at a more affordable price.
Kundig’s site has some renderings and has this to say about the project.
An urban infill project set in Seattle’s evolving Pike/Pine neighborhood, 1111 East Pike finds inspiration in an historic industrial aesthetic to create an exciting modern addition to the community. The multi-use project will feature ground-level retail, five levels of condominiums, and two underground parking levels. Each condominium features nine-foot floor to ceiling windows and open-plan layouts, with the kitchen partially enclosed—- a box within a box. Surprising touches, like a puzzle door that slides along the ceiling, differentiate these condominiums from other projects springing up around the city.
In addition Parsons sent over these two:
Looks like this is going to add more upscale inventory to Capitol Hill which compared to neighborhoods like Queen Anne has been lacking in high end condos.
Check back Thursday for an update from the event and if you have any questions you’d like answered let me know in comments.
