Seattle weekly wrap-up: 8 offers on a Ballard townhome!?
As August winds down (say it ain’t so!) the market continues to slow, though it isn’t as slow as I’d expect for this time of year. And certainly, I was a little surprised when our clients offered on a Ballard townhome and it ended up with 8 offers with the winning offer likely waiving all contingencies and early releasing earnest money.
Of the nearly 300 new listings this past week what caught our eye was a $3.8m Portage Bay floating home, a new $2.1m home in Wallingford, a $2m Capitol Hill home with a pool, the potential of this Mt Baker midcentury, a Pb Elemental in the CD and this midcentury in Normandy Park.
And we missed these the week before! A $4.2m loft in a building designed by Tom Kundig with interiors by George Suyama & Gulassa and a floating home rental for $11,500 a month.

Congrats to the Spire buyers moving in this week; Spire is now over 40% sold.
